DBA LAW

Var replacement by model agreement

In cooperation with our lawyer and accountant we have prepared a customized agreement. This agreement has been assessed and approved by the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration on March 31, 2016. Reference number of the agreement 9051588051.

The transition period has been extended till 1st of January 2020. Effectively, this means the new DBA law will still remain in force. The DBA bill has not been invalidated and this means that LINKIT will continue to use the two versions of the approved Model agreement.

Background information DBA Law

On the 2nd of February 2016 the new DBA bill was passed. The DBA legislation has been instated from the 1st of May 2016. This means that the old VAR (Declaration of independent contractor status) system has expired. An implementation period has been instated until the 1st of January 2020. This period will serve to make room for implementation and to inform those involved about the new legislation. From the 1st of January 2020 the DBA legislation will be actively enforced.
